Sabulturath is a Japanese Black Metal band from the Shiga Prefecture, formed in 2025.
It is the creation of Black Infestation, who is also responsible for the Japanese War Metal project Hanzaisha.
Unlike Hanzaisha’s unhinged BestialBlackDeathWarCrust Assault, with Sabulturath Black Infestation takes a completely different road to darkness taking influences from European, Russian and US Black Metal from the 1990’s/early 2000’s as Darkthrone, Burzum, Ildjarn Mütiilation, Judas Iscariot, Xasthur, Leviathan, Old Wainds, Paysage d’Hiver & Lurker of Chalice resulting in Black Metal that is thoroughly lofi and monotonous whilst melancholic and athmospheric with eerie melodies that linger through each of the songs, none of them falling below the 10-minute mark.
