Kavernist – Holocene Blues

Kavernist is a younger three-piece Death Metal band from Ulm, Southern Germany including YoYo / guitar + vocals and Avi / bass + vocals (two (ex-) members of the Crust band Dekonstrukt) and the band is completed by Max on the drums. After their „S/T“ demo (released on Bandcamp only) from february 2025 they are back with their first full length album called „Holocene Blues“, the fourteen songs (including the intro) were recorded D.I.Y. and in the Walzwerk Tonstudio located in Weilheim, Southern Germany, all songs finally got mixed and mastered by Sergej Dukart, the mastermind behind the Walzwerk Tonstudio. All artwork, cover design and all the drawing was done by Tom „Bloodlvst“ Kruijer from Kaufbeuren (as well located in Southern Germany) who already worked together with both releasing labels (Civilization Records and Zann’s Records).

Kavernist play a brutal and savage mix of Old School Death Metal and fucked up Stenchcore, a lot of people compared them with several, partly very well-known bands, but all of them have been more or less wrong. The Kavernist members are located in the Punk, Crust, Grind scene as well as in Death Metal scene, so they are influenced by a lot of styles, but with Kavernist they deliver what I call the pure essence of Death Metal: a putrid and stinking piece of raw Metal music.
