Münster-based Black Metal formation Narrat was founded in 2024. Having emerged only once for a live performance at the infamous Møve Fest 2024, the band has primarily focused on writing material for the release of their debut EP. Merely a year after this band came into existence, LEVANA will undergo the ritual of being uplifted from the soil to the sky and presented to the stars with its release.
NARRAT have processed the signs presented by the Ladies of Sorrow, hallowing the Roman goddess Levana. Following the narrative of Thomas De Quincey, LEVANA will convey wails that arise in all individual sufferings from the sorrows commuted with the three sisters.
The summonings that arise from the calls that Levana and the three sisters brought forward and Narrat manifested will intertwine affliction, desperation, resignation yet also blinks of hope. This ferocious emergence of Black Metal explores a wide dynamic range both refined and raw, blending various tones of Extreme Metal subgenres. The unpolished energy the riffing of the twin guitars conveys immediately associates Narrat’s sound with the early releases of Wiegedood. Although playing without bass, the refined tone still punches deep. Especially the drumming yet also the production adds an additional layer that subtly shifts this sound towards a Death Metal framework.
